Rick Burgess and Bill "Bubba" Bussey are two Good ol boys with a nationally syndicated radio show WZZX broadcasted from Birmingham, Alabama.

The two teamed up with Comedy writer Martha Bolten for help turning their fourth venture in the Literary World into another LOL New York Times Best Seller.

When I received a free copy of the book to review, I took it out of the brown cardboard mailer and saw a cover filled with brown crispy grub and not a hint of green except for the single jalapeno pepper topping on a pizza. I thought "Oh God, not another artery clogging gastronomical train wreck".

With great trepidation I began reading through Rick & Bubba’s Big Honkin’ Book of Grub and to my surprise I really liked it. While there aren't a lot of recipes, the book is filled with gastronomical comedic insight that will have you busting a gut instead of a filled gut.

They have a chapter on diets and remind their reader that the first three letters of the word diet, spell "die".

What Rick & Bubba’s Big Honkin’ Book of Grub lacks in the haute cuisine department it more than makes up for it with it's gastric comedy and loyal homage to comfort food.
